Silly Boy

Very little of 'baby Theo' exists anymore. He's definitely crossed over to 'little boy, Theo'. He wants to walk now but hasn't quite mastered doing it on his own. Holding mine or Eric's finger is all the stability he needs to get his balance and walk steadily anywhere he wants to go. This morning he quickly cruised over to the window as soon as he heard the garbage truck in the alley. With a huge smile on his face, he watched intensely as the big mechanical arms lifted the dumpster and shook its' contents into the truck. Basically, everything interests him now and more importantly, he seems to notice everything.

I'm loving that he's becoming more and more interested in non-baby foods (i.e. purees). It was fun making them early on but it gets boring really fast for someone who loves to cook. Yesterday morning I made him blueberry waffles topped with a little butter and little pieces of diced cantaloupe for breakfast. He chased it with a few swigs of my orange juice, straight out of my glass. My heart melted. He has a fond love for yogurt~but not any old yogurt. Extra thick, plain Greek yogurt is his favorite. The boy can take down a 7oz container in one sitting!

The pictures are of Theo's new trick. He takes a spoon or measuring cup or anything really and holds it in his mouth without using his hands while blowing out of his nose. It's an absolute riot to watch him do this. He's very serious about it and tries very hard not to laugh if we laugh at him doing it. His personality is really emerging and he's a total ham. He loves to make you laugh. He is the light of my life.
